About us
Ayers Rock Helicopters has a long and distinguished history operating in Central Australia. We pride ourselves in offering our passengers the very highest levels of safety and customer service. We believe that a helicopter tour over Central Australia is a great experience, however, it is the extra detail we offer our passengers that make flying with our team an unforgettable adventure.
Apart from our scenic flights and exclusive charters, we also provide a range of services including transfers, filming, photography, search & rescue, surveys, etc. Our pilots, who double as your informative tour guide, have an extensive knowledge about the area, answering any questions you might have during your flight. Our sister company Ayers Rock Scenic Flights can provide similar services with fixed wing aircraft.
The vast open plains and great distances between the amazing features of Central Australia make touring by helicopter the perfect choice. If you would like to tailor-make a tour to your needs, our pilots are more than happy to speak directly with you. Whichever tour you decide on it will be an experience you will never forget.
CAPABILITIES
Ayers Rock Helicopters normally operate a fleet of 4 helicopters, one Bell 206 Jetranger and 3 Robinson R44s between our base at Ayers Rock and Kings Creek Station.
The Robinson R44 is now the most popular scenic helicopter in the world. It can carry up to three passengers and is particularly well suited to scenic flights and sightseeing charters due to the large windows, allowing a fantastic view. When available, one of our R44s is air-conditioned.
Our Jetranger can carry up to four passengers and is our preferred machine for filming, photography, survey work and long-range charters. This helicopter is well suited for photography as it provides a stable platform and passengers are able to open the windows during flight allowing reflection free photography.
